MODC provides assistance with daily living to support you on campus to maximize your independence and empower your academic participation. Supports available include: personal care (toileting, bathing, and dressing), meal set up and feeding assistance, housekeeping, laundry, setup support before and after class, and shopping on campus.
Located at the Keele campus we offer support for students living in residence as well as those who commute daily to campus. Services are funded through the Toronto Central Local Health Integrated Network (LHIN).
Where to Apply
To apply, please complete the Attendant Service Application and Student Supplementary form through the Attendant Service Application Centre (ASAC).
Check off the March of Dimes York University @ York Program and indicate that you are a student and the date that you will be requiring supports to start school.
Eligibility
To be eligible for service, students must:
- Have a permanent physical disability
- Require assistance with personal care or activities of daily living
- Be 16 years of age or older
- Be a resident of Ontario
- Have a valid Health Card
- Be able to direct your own care
- Not be in receipt of insurance funds
